Welcome to Part three of this look into Sideshow Collectibles Legendary Musicians line featuring KISS.

If you missed out, catch part one of this interview at www.kissonline.com and part two at www.sideshowcollectibles.com

Enjoy

1. I have to ask this question or the KISS fans will shoot me. Will we see a Fox and Warrior figure in the future?

Well…again I am under strict instruction not to reveal any information… KISS Army High Command requires that information to remain classified at this time. Again, keep an eye on our Newsletter for up-to-the-minute Legendary Musician news!

2. Many fans don’t realize what goes into toy making and why a product goes through changes. For instance, the first photos of The Demon figure look different than the ones you feature on the Sideshow web site currently. Things have been changed to insure a dead-on likeness to the outfit and character. The face seems fuller, the hair style is a bit different, the chest armor seems a little bigger, and last but not least, the world famous bat wings have been added. Please explain to the fans why this happens. What causes the prototypes to look different than the final product?

When we approach a product, it goes through many evolutions and stages of design and development. In order to tweak every little nuance to hit the satisfaction of the Creative Director and the Creative Team, the original

prototype gets re-worked, enhanced and carefully groomed until the final master prototype is green-lit. Our Creative Team is always looking to go that extra mile to bring in a high level of detail and authenticity. We are fans ourselves… so we want it to be right!

3. I understand that each KISS figure will be released separately. What are the release dates, and which character will be first?

The first release – The Spaceman – began shipping in February of 2007, and the second release – The Starchild – left the warehouse in March 2007. The third figure to ship will be The Demon, which is estimated to arrive to our warehouse in May 2007. And finally… The Catman is estimated to begin shipping in July 2007! This way you have a new KISS figure to look forward to every couple of months, plus you can give your bank account a little break between the deliveries… until finally you can reunite the full band on your shelves!

4. I was reading about The Sideshow FLEXpay program. Please explain to the readers about flex pay. I think it’s a great option that will assure many KISS fans their piece of Sideshow KISSTORY.

Our FLEXpay option allows KISS Premium Format figure collectors to pay for their items in a few affordable monthly payments, rather than all at once – similar to a lay-away plan. Once you are signed up for the program, your payments will be conveniently charged to your credit card on a pre-set schedule, which can be viewed on the FLEXpay product page. Shipping costs and any applicable taxes will be charged along with the last payment, and the item will be shipped to you upon completion of that final payment. Plus, if at any point during the payment schedule you should decide to pay in full and have your figure shipped immediately (if it’s in stock at our warehouse), simply call our Customer Service department to let them know, and they’ll be happy to take care of that for you!

In order to continue to accommodate our collectors’ finances with the FLEXpay program, we do charge a cancellation fee, if you decide to cancel your item after payments have begun. For more information about our FLEXpay program, click the following link: http://www.sideshowtoy.com

5. Most fans love the product, but a lot of them feel as if the packaging is the co-star, if you will, to the figure. What can we expect the packaging to look like, and what was the thought process that went into designing it?

We always strive to make the packaging compliment the product, so for the KISS packaging, we added a bit of Sideshow style to the established KISS brand. In the spirit of highlighting the band, and as an homage to previous album covers, all four member are shown together on a classic metal background. To really bring the figures to life on the packaging, we used theatrical concert lighting to highlight the sculpts and distinct costumes

6. What is next on the list for Sideshows Legendry Musicians?

Man… always pushing for answers to the tough questions, huh?! Like I said, I can’t let anything slip, or you might find me in the bottom of a river somewhere… However, I will say that by the time this interview hits the street the next Premium Format figure in the line should be announced formally… It’s the King, baby… Mr. Elvis Presley!
